Is PEMF Therapy Dangerous?

Are there any PEMF dangers you should know about before getting started?

For new patients, starting any new medical regimen can be intimidating. So it’s understandable if you have questions and want to get as much information as possible before diving in.

The good news is that there are no PEMF dangers to worry about, because PEMF therapy is a safe, noninvasive practice that uses pulsed electromagnetic frequencies to help your body’s natural healing processes at the cellular level. Unlike other common types of treatment, PEMF does not involve any needles, pills or painful techniques whatsoever.

FDA Approved: Zero PEMF Dangers Found After Thorough Evaluation

Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy has been approved by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) for various pain symptoms and conditions for more than 20 years. The FDA uses a rigorous evaluation process for approving the use of any medical device or treatment, reviewing large amounts of data to identify any potential risks to the public.

The FDA looked for potential PEMF dangers to ensure the therapy was safe, and their findings were not a surprise to those who had already been studying the benefits of PEMF. They found that there were no PEMF dangers associated with proper use of these PEMF devices and thus the treatment was approved for a range of medical conditions.

PEMF Dangers When Using High-Voltage Systems

It’s important to keep in mind that not all PEMF systems are the same, which is why you should stick to trusted solutions from respected manufacturers, like the iMRS Prime and Omnium 1, made by Swiss Bionic Solutions.

In a recent post, we discussed the PEMF dangers associated with other types of systems, particularly extremely high-voltage PEMF machines, which use intensities of up to 2 Tesla (nearly 100,000 stronger than the DC field strength of the earth)! The intensity of these devices is not just unnecessary, it’s not advisable. The use of these high-voltage systems can be equated to sitting next to a high-voltage power line and may present PEMF dangers that simply do not exist with the use of traditional devices. When it comes to pulsed electromagnetic field therapy, more is NOT better.

(Coincidentally, these high-voltage systems also tend to be ridiculously expensive, in addition to being ridiculously unsafe. This is why many health practitioners stopped using them long ago and now advise patients to avoid them altogether.)

PEMF Dangers vs. the Risks of Other Treatments

At iMRS 2000, we help patients understand how to use their devices properly, so they can get the most out of the practice – because typically the only PEMF dangers to be concerned about is missing out on the full benefits because of improper use.

By contrast, it’s the other types of treatments that patients should worry about. Many patients attempt to treat their pain and chronic health conditions with medications and even surgeries, which come with serious risks and side effects. Many pain medications, for instance, come with not only the danger of adverse reactions, but also the risk of addiction. This is why so many practitioners have transitioned away from recommending drugs and instead now promote PEMF therapy as a safe alternative for pain management.

Dispelling the Myths of PEMF Dangers
